This course is based on the current trends in cutting and coloring hair. It is designed to prepare students to become successful hairdressers using step by step videos and a lot of practical work. It has been tested and proven to create top stylists who has gone on to win hairdressing competitions and have their columns fully booked which means they earn very good salaries.

The course is now accredited through FAME SYSTEMS. As we all know, hairdressing is a hands-on job and after many years of trial and error, we decided to create a course that guarantees the results. After the 1st year of practical and theoretical training, students will be required to work in the salon for workplace experience.

After the 1 year of practical and theoretical training, students will be offered a job as a Junior Stylist in one of the Excentric Salons. *Space is limited to only 5 students. This way, they will get undivided attention from the Lecturer.

Programme:

2 days/week students will learn new techniques with Flo (our Lecturer) on mannequin heads or live models, step by step.
3 days/week Students will gain workplace experience and practice more the skills learned.

Hey, it is my pleasure to virtually meet you! I started my career in 2007 in Romania. Being very passionate about the science behind the hair and the techniques that define perfection with precision, I attended over 30 international seminars. Some of them were in London, at Vidal Sassoon Academy, and these ones changed my approach towards cutting hair, understanding what a good haircut really means, and cutting hair becoming my passion and obsession.

When I came to Cape Town, I fell in love with the mother city and decided to call it home. In my first year as hairstylist in SA I managed to achieve second place in Wella Trend Vision and soon after that I obtained the Master Colorist Certificate with gold, which opened a new opportunity for me to become a guest educator for Wella in South Africa. In 2014, my wife and I started Excentric Cape Town with one big goal : create the best hair salon in Cape Town with the best hairstylists. With that in mind, I created an internal training program for all our stylists, sharing my knowledge while also gaining more. This helped us bring some trophies for the brand: two times Gold trophy and one Silver for Wella Trend Vision Award, one Gold for Redken Artists and I have been selected as Wella Ambassador for South Africa. This proved to us that our training is very effective and I started to put even more effort in perfecting the Excentric Education by creating Excentricademy, which is an intense crash course that enables ANYONE to become a successful hairdresser and even to win hairdressing awards.
